The History of TTSI
TTSI began as an air-freight
agency in 1989. We started with only our
commitment to providing the highest levels of customer
satisfaction and our determination to deliver better
expedited services.
In 1991, we started a cost-effective
alternative to air freight by pooling shipments and using
expedited trucks. It worked so well, customers asked us to
find better solutions to many of their supply chain needs.
We responded by creating companies
that delivered better quality, service, and security in
everything from drayage, transloading, warehousing, and
truckload management, as well as local pickup and delivery.
Seeing Our Opportunity
As more manufacturers move overseas
and consumer expectations continue to rise, the need to get
the right inventory to the market on time has never been
more urgent nor complex. TTSI sees the challenge to supply
chains as an opportunity.
That’s why we’ve pooled our
companies (then Western Regional Drayage Inc. and Intermodal
Distribution Freight Inc.) under one central management, to
better match appropriate technologies with a larger base of
industry expertise. The result is TTSI – one organization
that offers agile distribution solutions and a variety of
transportation options for the most simple delivery to the
most complex of supply networks.
Today we manage over 300,000 shipments a year over-the-road
(OTR), on the rail, and over the water in
everything from apparel to technology and everything
in-between. The one constant in all those deliveries is that
our customers rely on us to create value and efficiencies
with their transportation dollars every step of the way.
